I’m a leader driven by a tireless work ethic and a passion to lift up others.
In every endeavor – from captaining my football team, to ranking top nationally in pharmaceutical sales, to pioneering new technology startups – I’ve achieved excellence through vision, collaboration, and inspiring those around me to reach higher.
But success means nothing without purpose. Since returning to my hometown of Durham, I’ve poured my heart into mentoring youth, serving on city workforce boards, and grieving those we’ve lost to violence.
Our challenges are my challenges. Your hopes are my hopes. This city raised me, and I can never repay all it’s given. But I will try.
I don’t see Durham through partisan lenses – I see the real needs in our neighborhoods, schools and homes. My motivation comes not from politics, but from love for this community and everyone in it.
As Mayor, I won’t just make promises. I’ll bring people together, challenge old ways of thinking, and do the hard work needed to achieve real progress. The faith you place in me, I will repay with results.
It’s time for a new playbook and plan focused on community, vision and action.
